Hello! I want to welcome you and your kindergartner to Crosby Elementary School. My name is Mrs. Cheryl Dorsch and I will be your child's teacher. I graduated from The University of Dayton where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach K-8th grade.
Crosby has been a home to my family for the past ten years. My husband, Tom, and I have had very positive experiences sending our three daughters here to learn and grow, both academically and socially. I have been actively involved in the Southwest Local School District during this time as well. I have enjoyed volunteering as a parent, substitute teaching in all buildings in the district at every grade level, and aiding in kindergarten at Crosby and in third grade at Harrison Elementary. Last year, I taught AM kindergarten at Crosby. This will be my first year teaching kindergarten full time.
My husband is a project director for Solaris Paper. Our oldest daughter, Rebecca, is a 2016 graduate of WHHHS and attends college. Our middle daughter, Anna, is a junior at WHHHS and plays varsity soccer. Our youngest daughter, Leah, is a sixth grader at Harrison Junior School. She loves to read and be on stage. I enjoy traveling with Tom, running with Rebecca, crafting with Anna, and watching Leah perform.
I am very excited to work with you and your kindergartner. I look forward to a positive and fun year of learning!
