Mrs. Melissa Knock graduated from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education (Specific Learning Disabilities). She grew up in Harrison, OH and graduated from William Henry Harrison High School in 1987. She began teaching in the Southwest Local School District in 1993. In 1997 and 2001, she was honored as the Southwest Corner PTA Educator of the Year. In 2008, she was the Elizabethtown Teacher of the Year. She and her husband Joe (also a Harrison graduate) have been married for 21 years and have three children: Joey, John, and Sophia. She currently lives in Liberty, IN, where they own a cattle and grain farm. Her oldest son, Joey (19), is a sophomore at Purdue University, John (16) is a high school junior, and Sophia (11) is in the 6th grade. In her spare time, Mrs. Knock enjoys being outside, mowing grass and doing yard work, camping, and watching her kids' sporting events!
